JPMorgan's Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) Create/Redeem Middle Office is the Authorized Participant to place create/redeem orders on behalf of internal trading desk and prime clients for thousands of ETFs across the street.

As an Exchange Traded Fund (EFT) Trade Support Associate within Global Equities Operations Team , you will be responsible for facilitating front to back Operations processing for the ETF trade lifecycle, from working with traders on booking and trade capture, to overseeing trade settlement with Pre-matching and settlement teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support order placement for agency and principal create/redeem ETFs with Equity/FI/derivative/Crypto underliers
  • Complete intra-day / end of day processes including completeness controls and reconciliation investigation to ensure capture of new trading activity and general book management has been processed accurately.
  • Understand the key elements of other infrastructure groups (i.e. P&L Reporting, Financial Control, Settlements & Pre-matching, Purchases and Sales (PnS), among others) and collaborate with them in matters relating to the ETF Create/Redeem businesses.
  • Responsible for order placement controls around bookings, trade lifecycle events, and payment infrastructure. Own the investigation of discrepancies and work with Technology, Reference Data, and Middle office counterparts in finding its resolution.
  • Facilitation of client and cross-organizational communication, including real time liaising with multiple business lines and groups to accurately identify real time risk issues; must have the ability to work collaboratively, explain, and challenge trading issues as appropriate.
  • Participate and contribute to the various strategic initiatives; keep improving and evolving processes and business architecture.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Education: Hold a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or similar
  • Prior Experience: 2 years in Finance Operations roles.
  • Financial Market Knowledge: Understanding of cash equities markets. Basic understanding of ETF lifecycle and plus.
  • Trade Operations: Proficiency in trade lifecycle management, including trade capture, settlement and reconciliation.
  • Risk Management: Ability to identify and mitigate operational and settlement risks associated with equity trading.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Capability to troubleshoot and resolve trade-related issues efficiently under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision in trade processing.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with traders and functional partners (Operations, Technology, Finance) to ensure smooth trade processing and exceptions resolution.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in trade support operations.
  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency: Skilled in handling extensive datasets, particularly adept in utilizing advanced formulas and pivot tables.

Work schedule

  • This hybrid role requires going into the office three days a week with two days' flexibility to work from home, subject to change
