Posting Description

As an analyst in Korea Equity Capital Markets, you will participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution, with the work scope including but not limited to preparing pitch materials, conducting research, and drafting various client presentations in live transactions, and making internal memoranda for seniors and committee.

You will be expected to have strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and demonstrate your ability to work with other partners within the line of business, such as country coverage and industry teams. The candidate should also be highly enthusiastic about his/her work as well as J.P. Morgan's products and be committed to J.P. Morgan's values and missions.

You will join the global investment banking analyst program, along with over 100 analysts across regions and teams, which will offer you the opportunities to build network and learn to be a professional at a world's top-tier global investment bank.

Job responsibilities

  • Support origination and execution of Korea equity capital markets business
  • Work with various teams within the organization on all matters pertaining to the execution of Korea ECM transactions
  • Prepare pitch and marketing materials and client presentations in live transactions
  • Run ad-hoc, daily and weekly analysis and research on economies, global and Korea equity markets, industries, companies, and products
  • English/Korean translation
  • Any other support for investment banking and equity capital markets business

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
  • Strong understanding of equity markets and equity products, as well as transaction cycles
  • Good knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Ability to work effectively under high pressure and multitask
  • Proficient in Korean and English
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Word

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skill

  • Outstanding attention to detail, team player, effective communication skills, and strong initiative to work independently
  • Prior working experience in an ECM role or relevant investment banking role
