The Vice President, Employee Listening will be responsible for supporting the firmwide Employee Listening Strategy. This person will partner with numerous stakeholders within the firm, as well as with vendors, in the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of surveys and other related listening projects. This role will be critical in supporting efforts for the firmwide Employee Opinion Survey and other life-cycle surveys, including candidate experience and new employee experience surveys. This person will take an active role in interpreting and communicating survey results across the firm and in developing insights about the firm's culture and management practices.

This position reports to North America Employee Listening and locally into the Global Employee Help Executive Director. The Employee Listening Team has responsibility for firmwide employee listening surveys and is part of the Employee Engagement and Listening group within Human Resources.

In addition to the listening responsibilities, the individual will represent the entire Employee Engagement & Listening function locally and have oversight accountability for the team of five who report into NAMR leaders and are responsible for supporting the Employee Engagement portfolio of Products (Volunteerism, Mentoring and Recognition).

Job responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the firmwide Employee Opinion Survey (EOS) by managing a specific work stream
  • Support other surveys within the listening strategy
  • Partner with Centers of Excellence (COEs) to use existing employee research and to develop new tools/surveys to support their data and information needs
  • Serve as subject matter expert/consultant on survey content, administration and analysis/reporting for surveys being conducted across the firm
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging survey and other research to find insights on firmwide culture and practices
  • Ensure all appropriate data privacy, security and controls requirements are incorporated into all survey processes
  • Interpret employee survey and research data, seeking insights to raise to leadership teams and Centers of Excellence (COEs)
  • Prepare executive presentations using PitchPro+
  • Partner with the Workforce Data function to maximize the use of the employee data and with other firmwide groups like Communications, Workforce Technology, Data Privacy, DEI as needed
  • Work with the HR Advisory community to ensure they are equipped to work with their clients to understand employee data
  • Opportunity to develop leadership skills by managing local employees of firmwide team

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • An advanced degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Statistics or other Behavioral Science
  • At least 5 years of business experience
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • Knowledge of research methods and prior experience creating and administering measurement tools, such as surveys
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and manipulate large data sets in Excel is required
  • Ability to identify and communicate critical insights through appealing data visualizations (PitchPro+)
  • Proficient in at least one statistical analysis tool (e.g., R, Python)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and strong commitment to accuracy
