EMEA Capital Management & Strategy Vice President

The EMEA Capital Management and Strategy team is looking for a Vice President to work within the Capital Management team. This is a key role in the EMEA Capital Management and Strategy team, which produces critical deliverables for EMEA senior management and UK regulators, including UK entities' capital projections, Individual Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), capital aspects of Recovery & Resolution, as well as owning the EMEA ICAAP framework and standards, and having oversight of non-UK capital management and ICAAP.

As an EMEA Capital Management and Strategy - Vice president within Capital Management team, you will focus specifically on the material UK entities, working on capital forecasting and management, ICAAP, and related activities (such as capital stress testing). The role is an ideal representation of projects and business-as-usual activities, offering the right level of challenge and opportunity for you to grow. In this role you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements surrounding capital adequacy including ICAAP as well cover Pillar 2 Policy. You will also have get to work in collaboration with internal stakeholders in Risk, Finance, Treasury and business lines providing you with the opportunity to grow your understanding of the Pillar 2/ ICAAP framework. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with external trade bodies on matters involving Pillar 2 Policy and framework.

Job responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and manage the delivery of the ICAAP document for material UK legal entities.
  • Co-ordinate and own the capital forecasts, stress testing assessments and where applicable, internal Pillar 2 assessments of risks.
  • Critically review risk model methodologies, stress testing framework, policy and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and challenge business decisions, growth plans from a capital perspective on an on-going basis.
  • Analyse new business initiatives, regulatory impact from revisions to the capital requirement framework, regulatory reforms and permissions
  • Work with associates and analysts to analyse, manipulate and present data, focusing on material outcomes and produce coherent outputs for senior management and committees.
  • Liaise with senior SMEs and presenting to senior management and committees.
  • Liaise with trade bodies on matters involving Pillar 2 Policy and framework.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in ICAAP is essential
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to prepare executive level presentations
  • Working knowledge of the current UK prudential regime, including Basel, CRD / CRR, IFPR.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, with an ability to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field. Accountancy qualification (ACA/CA/ACCA) is desirable but not essential
