Job Summary:
As an Economist in the Greater China Economics Team, you will contribute to the research effort focused on the Greater China region. You will work closely with regional and global research colleagues as part of our global research team. Your role will involve providing economic analysis to institutional investors, sales, and traders in JP Morgan on the economies of Greater China, as well as their regional/global linkages and implications for policy and financial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the Greater China economies using economic analysis and quantitative methods.
- Provide economic analysis on regional economic trends, incorporating global views and insights to form a coherent narrative.
- Contribute to team views through active discussion and presentation.
- Liaise with research colleagues in other areas to solicit views, with an interest in other regions and markets.
- Write research reports in our regular and ad hoc publications to update clients on new views.
- Present research views to clients in one-on-one meetings and seminars.
- Coordinate and communicate with colleagues and interact with clients with strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Ph.D. in Economics.
- 2+ years of working experience in economic research or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with an understanding of economic theory and practice.
- Background in econometrics and statistics.
- Fluent in English and Chinese with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with colleagues across the firm and clients.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in research related to the Greater China region is preferred.
