As an Digital Analytics Solution Director in Digital & Design Domain Services, you lead the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end solutions for business intelligence, advanced analytics, and reporting. You ensure that the analytical solutions are designed thoughtfully in line with business objectives, delivered in a timely manner, and executed using the appropriate application of cutting-edge expertise in statistical analysis, data science and machine learning. You help the broader Payments Digital team make data-driven decisions in product strategy, product development, and continuous improvement. Hands-on experience building artificial intelligence and machine learning-driven solutions that solve business problems is a must. You are excited to flex a mix of advanced analytics, data science, consulting (problem solving, thought leadership, client management), project management (building plans, stakeholder communication), product management, and people management across the development and implement lifecycle for the respective analytics solutions. In addition, you will play a pivotal role in defining the vision for the team and shaping the team whilst staying up to speed on trends and firm-wide strategy for data & analytics.

Within the broader D&D team, the Domain Services team is a team that is responsible for delivering digital capabilities across our various front-end channels (JPMorgan Access, Chase Connect, Host-to-Host, APIs, and Enterprise Application Services) - including data, analytics, & reporting, onboarding, and self-service. The team places a premium on creative and practical problem solving that can move the needle on key business objectives and deliver tangible client impact.
The Data, Analytics, and Reporting team is focused on developing data-centric solutions that encompass the breadth of the analytical spectrum, from data engineering and infrastructure to predictive and perspective modelling to senior management-level reports and dashboards. An important part of our mission is to enable a more data-driven Digital & Design organization that consistently uses analytics to drive product strategy and development and can influence the organization more broadly. The team works on a large range of strategic, highly visible initiatives across Payments and Global Banking.
Job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end to development of key analytics, business intelligence, and reporting capabilities and tools utilized by Digital & Design teams
- Be a trusted advisor and thought leader on key opportunities identified via data using innovative and creative analytical approaches/solutions; in turn, building relationships with internal senior leaders and partners
- Provide analytical and business thought leadership best practices, methods and tools spanning the analytics spectrum and various lines of businesses
- Manage the strategic direction of multiple internal engagements
- Demonstrate strong analytical ability by guiding teams in understanding and implementing various statistical, data science, and/or machine learning techniques to answer business questions across lines of business
- Own the regular performance measurement and reporting for key business reviews with CIB leadership - tell the Digital & Design story
- Hire, manage, develop and retain talent by creating an environment of open communication and fair performance assessment, promotion, and compensation
- Identify opportunities in the organization and leverage expertise, influencing skills, and the internal network to execute against them
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Hands-on experience with data analytics and/or visualization techniques (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau), as well as big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Cassandra, AWS)
- Foundational and applied expertise in statistical analyses, data science, and artificial intelligence / machine learning including, but not limited to descriptive, inferential, and where relevant, causal statistics, predictive and forecast modeling, optimization modeling, LLM, and NLP and various deep learning approaches
- Superior written and oral communication and presentation skills with experience communicating effectively with diverse audiences - across business and technology partners, including senior leadership
- Consulting orientation with ability to influence and effectively lead cross-functional teams
- Experience managing a team and developing talent, including matrixed team across Product, Technology, and Design
- Self-starter with out-of-the box problem solving skills and a drive to bring new ideas to life. Extreme degree of ownership and pragmatism. An outlook that no problem is not yours (or your team's) to influence and solve in the context of your project work
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and keep numerous projects on track
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience at a consulting firm
- Deep understanding of the financial services or Payments industry
- MBA or other Masters' degree
