This opportunity provides you with first-class investment banking experience at J.P. Morgan's Korea office. As an origination assistant in the Korea Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team, you will work closely with investment bankers and participate in the origination and execution of investment banking business.

Job Summary:

As an origination assistant in the Korea DCM team, you will support the origination and execution of debt capital market transactions. You will prepare market updates, conduct financial analysis, and collaborate with the broader investment banking division. This role is ideal for university students in their junior or senior year, with a preference for those majoring in Business Administration or Accounting, though other fields are welcome.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support origination and execution of debt capital market transactions from pitching to pricing.
  • Prepare regular market updates, relative value analysis, marketing materials, and pitches for Korean issuers.
  • Conduct research on economies, industries, companies, ESG, and products.
  • Assist in financial analysis, due diligence, and risk analysis on companies.
  • Liaise with the broader investment banking division for multi-product pitches.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Strong interest in financial markets and the global economic environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English and Korean communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial statements.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Junior or senior year university student (well-prepared sophomores acceptable).
  • Major in Business Administration or Accounting preferred, but open to other fields.
