DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop and plan analytic projects through understanding the business objectives. Develop robust analysis and deliver plans to support clear and understanding of project requirements and goals. Develop the data, queries, tables and visualizations that deliver insight both as an individual contributor and in collaboration with team mates. Synthesize data sets to create consumer insights that support merchant growth agendas. Produce database dashboard for resilience and making it user friendly. Contribute to the development of data models for future analytics and platforms. Work with unit managers, end users, development staff, and other stakeholders to understand the business value of each analytic effort. Apply quality assurance best practices for analytics services to support user feedback and questions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Data Scientist, Data Analyst or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Data Scientist, Data Analyst or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: data science concepts and data mining techniques; Identify business problems or management objectives that can be addressed through data analysis and data-driven solutions; Analyze, manipulate, and process complex data sets using Big Data technologies including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloudera Hadoop, or Apache Spark.; Utilize advanced SQL operations including- User Defined Functions (UDF), Window operations, Common Table Expressions (CTE), Lateral JOINs, Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) statements to model raw data into useful insights; Identify relationships, trends and model data driven solutions in Jupyter Notebooks using Python; using libraries including Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn to support business needs that need to run on a regular basis and are scalable; Design and develop interactive graphs and data visualizations with advanced functionalities including level of detail expressions and dashboard actions in Tableau and Microsoft Power BI tools to present the quantitative information to both analytic and non- analytic staff; Deliver results of data modeling and data analysis to management or other end users using Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) presentations and Confluence pages; Test, validate, and reformulate analytical solutions to ensure accurate outcomes of interest.

Job Location: 8181 Communications Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
