As a Vice President (VP) in the Data Product Owner space focusing on ESG and Banking Book Program Management team within the Firmwide Finance Business Architecture (FFBA) team, you will play a crucial role in delivering strategic automation to the ESG Finance Controller and External Reporting teams. You will support JPMorgan Chase's efforts to track ESG and Banking Book obligations in response to regulatory reporting requirements and internal initiatives. The Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA) is accountable for leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and business process change management events and the Chief Data Office for Finance and Treasury & Chief Investment Office (TCIO). The team also provides a centralized program management and business analysis capability, targeted program governance, and consistent application of program management standards including system testing and change management practices, with a current focus on overseeing the Data Acquisition framework for strategic and legacy Finance, TCIO, and Wholesale Credit Risk platforms.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end requirement discussions and develop plans for successful delivery of change events.
- Lead collaboration with key partners to ensure that critical data is well-documented as to its meaning and purpose, and classified accordingly with metadata to enable its understanding and control
- Document comprehensive requirements for data sourcing, content and quality, and coordinate with technology and business partners to ensure timely, complete, and accurate data
- Liaise with upstream line of business partners and down stream external reporting teams to ensure critical regulatory requirements are implemented in appropriate timelines
- Evolve data model strategies within Banking Book and ESG to align with external reporting requirements
- Provide data quality support through monitoring and root-cause analysis of data quality issues.
- Create and maintain Data Requirements Documents and Model Documentation.
- Influence and communicate with stakeholders across business, operations, and technology.
- Provide occasional project management support to senior project managers through maintenance of various project artifacts such as the project plan, implementation plan, operating models, RAID log and preparation of meeting materials / minutes.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- 6+ years of product ownership or project delivery experience in Finance/Banking and/or Data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple work streams concurrently.
- High proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to various audiences.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Solid understanding of Financial and/or Regulatory reporting processes; ESG data knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience with traditional credit (Loans, Deposits, Cash).
- Data management/data modelling experience
- Previous experience in Finance, Risk, or Operations functions.
- Proficiency in SQL, Cloud, and Tableau or other business intelligence tools.
- Experience with Agile delivery and project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
