Data Management Product Owner - Senior Associate

As a Data Management Product Owner in the Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA) you will build out and modernization of applications, advanced analytics and services utilized for both internal and external reporting that align to critical firm-wide initiatives. will partner with users and technology delivering within an agile framework responsible for managing the prioritized backlog to ensure the team is always maximizing delivery value against the firm's goals.

The Firmwide Finance Business Architecture team (FFBA) is accountable for leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and business process change management events and the Chief Data Office for Finance and TCIO. The team also provides a centralized program management and business analysis capability, targeted program governance, and consistent application of program management standards including system testing and change management practices, with a current focus on overseeing the Data Acquisition framework for strategic and legacy Finance, TCIO, and Wholesale Credit Risk platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholder teams to specify, design and build advanced analytical solutions within an Agile framework.
  • Support users and teams in migrating or creating data analytics tools throughout their public cloud journey.
  • Communicate and present to various levels of stakeholders
  • Understand the data flows and complexities as they relate to finance and reporting applications and infrastructure. Use this knowledge to identify novel ways of enriching data with related metadata to improve monitoring and tracking or processes and applications.
  • Evaluate how automation can support business functions, then apply and implement solutions using appropriate tools (e.g. Alteryx, Python, AI systems and ML models).
  • Understand current and target state system architecture and metadata of banking products
  • Engage with stakeholder groups to ensure business needs are translated into appropriate technical specifications, and acceptance criteria is met

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 3-5 years of related experience including a bachelor's degree
  • Experience with designing and/or building user facing data analytics tools, understanding and working with large volumes of data across multiple products
  • Demonstrated knowledge of one or more data & business intelligence concepts including ETL, Data Modeling, Reporting Automation, and/or Dashboarding.
  • Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge while managing multiple streams of work concurrently to tight deadlines
  • Experience with distributed version control systems (Git) and SDLC operational requirements.
  • Able to communicate effectively, lead, influence and build strong relationships at all levels
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, highly responsible and exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering results across multiple teams and interdependencies
  • Strong interpersonal and partnership skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Experience with Agile delivery, JIRA, Confluence
  • Knowledge and experience with a variety of banking products including Loans, Deposits, Cash, Derivatives and Securities
  • Financial services and/or regulatory reporting experience is a plus
