As a Data Governance Lead-Vice President in the HR & EX Chief Data & Analytics Office, you will ensure our adherence to firmwide data governance policies and lead initiatives to reduce data risk. You will work closely with a dynamic team dedicated to enhancing employee experience and driving evidence-based decision-making. Your role is crucial in maintaining data integrity and supporting our vision of a productive and engaged workforce.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the HR/EX Policy & Governance Forums team.
  • Drive the effective implementation of firmwide data governance policies and standards.
  • Establish and maintain governance structures within HR/EX.
  • Align HR/EX governing documents with firmwide data governance policies and procedures.
  • Engage with product owners, data owners, and stakeholders to implement data controls and strategic initiatives.
  • Create data governance materials for committees and councils, documenting meeting minutes as needed.
  • Build business cases for data governance programs in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 5 years of experience in data governance or data management within the financial industry.
  • 5 years of people management experience with performance management responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
  • Experience in establishing data governance structures and managing data risk.
  • Strong understanding of risk and controls, and the governance controls required to manage those risks.
  • Effective communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build trust, understand stakeholder needs, solve problems, manage expectations, and negotiate effectively.
