As an Analyst within the Credit Middle Office team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our credit operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes that drive our business forward. Job responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate capture of all transactions in various risk management systems.
  • Complete intraday and end-of-day processes, including exception handling, completeness, and reconciliation checks, to ensure accurate trade capture and maintenance.
  • Work closely with operations functions and infrastructure groups to support a 'one team approach.'
  • Perform, complete, and sign off on all controls on a timely basis.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with all support teams to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of queries.
  • Participate in and contribute to various strategic initiatives, continuously improving and evolving processes, and business architecture.
  • Build an in-depth understanding of all trading structures from both a financial and operational perspective.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Investment banking operations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
  • Basic understanding of credit cash, derivatives, and hedging products, including credit default swaps, total return swaps, credit-linked notes, and credit bonds.
  • Knowledge of front-to-back operations processes, including key elements such as confirmations, settlements, and market data impacts, and can facilitate issue resolution across teams.
  • Understand the key elements of other infrastructure groups (e.g., finance, market risk, credit risk, operational risk, legal, collateral) and recognize the impact of the trade support team's actions on these areas.
  • Clear communication skills and can work collaboratively, explain, and challenge as appropriate.
  • A highly-motivated individual, with ability deliver with minimal supervision whilst working effectively in a team

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong problem-solving, controls, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel (VBA is a plus) and familiar with automation tools like UiPath, Alteryx, and Tableau.
