Job Summary:

As a Corporate Dining Captain within the Client Dining Management Team, you will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations for Dining amenities. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, strong knowledge of food and beverage service, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will be responsible for successful shift supervision, ensuring seamless service, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive atmosphere.

  • Supervise and lead a team of dining staff, including full time servers, and contingent employees.
  • Assign and delegate tasks to team members, ensuring efficient operations and smooth service delivery.
  • Oversee the set-up and preparation of dining areas, ensuring proper table settings, cleanliness, and organization
  • Provide training, coaching, and ongoing guidance to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meeting and training topics.
  • Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development.
  • Learn basic POS troubleshooting techniques. Familiar with support call procedure when necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain an adequate supply of alcoholic, nonalcoholic beverages, and dining supplies, coordinating with suppliers as needed.
  • Ensure accurate menu presentation, including descriptions, and seasonal offerings.
  • Coordinate with culinary team to execute menu items consistently and maintain high food quality standards.
  • Work in tandem with the Client Dining Management Team to support operational needs.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Demonstrate and promote JPMC's culture, always positively representing the Company.
  • Oversee all aspects of service, including those in the dining room, private dining rooms, and pantries. Ensure the highest levels of organization are always maintained, without exception.
  • Uphold all standards of the JPMC Client Dining service, appearance, and conduct, always promoting positive public and employee relations.
  • Promote teamwork within the Client Centers, creating a positive work environment.
  • Ensure sanitation compliance with NYC Health Department Code throughout the Client Center.
  • Monitor food storage, handling, and preparation processes to maintain food safety standards.
  • Develop relationships with guest and key users. Meet the expectations and requirements of our guests, always acting with our guests in mind.
  • Actively participate in service to ensure quality standards are met to offer best in class client experience.
  • Effectively resolve guest complaints and issues. Escalating to Managers when necessary.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Familiar with managing POS Systems and running reports for optimal operation success preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs preferred
  • Available to work late nights, holidays and long days as necessary
  • 3+ years fine dining and or luxury hotel experience preferred
  • Management or Supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 360 preferred
