Are you passionate to enhance and optimize the way products are delivered to users? that role is for you. As a key member of the team, you'll create solutions and efficiencies that enable successful implementations in an expedient and organized way.

As a Product Owner within Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Controls Technology Solutions, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between various stakeholders and the development teams to ensure that the product meets the needs of its users and aligns with business objectives. You will be responsible for the development and success of a product for the controls organization, managing project governance, execution, and facilitating training when required. You will also ensure the alignment of requirements to products in the controls technology suite, acting as the intake and triage to ensure the right products are being used while avoiding technical debt, reducing risk, and managing return on investment.

Job responsibilities:

  • Define the vision, strategy, and prioritized roadmap in line with business direction.
  • Shape the scope of the tech ecosystem by understanding the different functional domains and the high-level work processes performed within each one.
  • Evaluate how different product strategies impact one another and act as a thought leader on prioritization and sequencing of roadmap items across functional domains.
  • Resolve any cross-product roadblocks throughout the ecosystem and partner with the business cabinet to influence product roadmaps.
  • Evaluate how work processes evolve within the ecosystem and track against the roadmap in an agile manner.
  • Act as the 'voice of the customer' at a team level, partnering with the experience lead and engineering lead to translate the needs of key stakeholders (e.g., functional leads in Legal, Controls, Compliance).
  • Manage communication between different functions within the ecosystem and liaise with other members of the leadership triad (Engineering Lead, UX Lead).
  • Own, maintain, and develop a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition in line with direction from product leadership.
  • Create artifacts, templates, and learning content (e.g., business process modeling using Signavio, user personas, user stories, and user journey maps, product pipeline, etc.) to support the maturation of Product Management.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering high-impact and large-scale products, projects, or technology applications.
  • Experience influencing product operating model transformations, coaching, or leading product management teams.
  • Experience driving change in complex organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Experience delivering complex projects that impact multiple teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics.
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Demonstrated innovation in previous roles either through patents, authorship of books, industry engagements, or other similar accomplishments.
  • Recognized thought leader and innovator with demonstrated industry eminence.
  • Strong Power point and Presentation Skills
  • Strategic mindset and thought leader
