Job responsibilities:
- Design and establish frameworks for monitoring internal controls.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of controls.
- Develop and implement data automation processes.
- Investigate control failures and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with bankers to resolve control breaks.
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports on control metrics.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support risk and control-related business processes.
- Liaise with bankers to facilitate compliance processes.
- Manage and lead a control monitoring team.
- Coach and mentor team members to meet performance objectives.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in financial services.
- Over 10 years of experience in controls, operations, or risk management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Alteryx, and QlikSense.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Highly organized and adaptable in fast-paced environments.
- Experience in leading and training staff.
