As a Technology Operational Risk Management Lead within the Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) organization, you will be immersed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your expertise in program and analytical solutions will be highly valued. Your role will require a proactive approach and the ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders. As part of the Data Analytics team, you will lead and collaborate on specific projects, playing a vital role within the CCOR organization. This team acts as the second line of defense, with the CCOR organization responsible for designing and executing the CCOR program, which includes managing the company's compliance, conduct, and operational risk. Your role will involve working closely with CCOR functional groups to provide a variety of solutions aimed at facilitating data-driven decision making and enabling proactive compliance, conduct, and operational risk management. Your responsibilities will encompass the design, development, and implementation of dashboards and analytical tools to effectively identify, monitor, and escalate compliance, conduct, and operational risk issues for reporting to senior management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee End-User Engagement and Project Management: Manage the entire end-user engagement process for Reporting Self-Service/Analytics projects, from planning and mobilization to gathering business and data requirements, managing delivery, and handling communication and reporting.
  • Develop and Deliver Reporting Solutions: Design and implement self-serve data templates, advanced analytics, and custom dashboards using BI tools like ThoughtSpot, Tableau, and Qlik Sense.
  • Prepare & Transform Data: Utilize tools like Alteryx and Python to prepare, cleanse, and transform data from multiple sources for reporting and analytics purposes. Assess the completeness of source data to support development efforts and communicate any new data requirements or gaps.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with various programs, technology teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop solutions, and ensure compliance with firm-wide standards.
  • Lead Solution Implementation: Oversee the design and development process at key stages of the project life cycle, ensuring data requirements are met, including data analysis and design, data modeling and transformation processes, and integration of Business Intelligence solutions. Manage end-user engagement, testing, and release.
  • Support Citizen Development Initiatives: Provide guidance and best practices for low-code/no-code solutions, supporting citizen developers within the organization.
  • Leverage Emerging Technologies: Explore and integrate Generative AI capabilities into reporting workflows to enhance automation, data interpretation, and visualization.
  • Ensure Data Integrity and Compliance: Maintain the accuracy, reliability, and security of reporting solutions while adhering to compliance and governance standards.
  • Manage Program Governance: Partner and interact with firm-wide Business Intelligence centers of excellence, working groups, and third-party managers to stay informed about solution roll-outs, features and functionality, licensing, and coordinate on troubleshooting or support as needed during project implementations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5+ years of experience in large data projects
  • 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or reporting role, within compliance, risk or financial services
  • 3+ years of BI Development experience
  • Knowledge or previous experience with Product and Project Management, particularly in a "Product Manager" role
  • Proficient experience in ThoughtSpot, Tableau and QlikSense
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages, including Python
  • Knowledge or previous experience with configuring and/or coding business intelligence tools (e.g. ThoughtSpot, Alteryx, Cognos, QlikSense, Tableau, etc.)
  • Big Data Database work exposure and experience including Data Bricks and Hadoop
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts and working experience in relational and dimensional modeling
  • Experience in implementing ETL processes, including in Alteryx
  • Proficiency in handling large data sets, including data querying, processing and technical skills (SQL, etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines, a plus
  • Knowledge and/or prior experience with Conduct Risk, Operational Risk or Compliance, a plus
