Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk (CCOR) is part of the Risk Management and Compliance organization, which is responsible for the design and execution of the second line of defense's responsibilities in the oversight of management of the firm's Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk.

As a Compliance Officer you will join the Latin America and Canada team, at Sao Paulo office, and will have a dual hat position, supporting both the execution of the Anticorruption Compliance Program with focus on compliance risks and controls and Data Privacy. As a Compliance Risk Management Officer, you will have the following responsibilities:

Job responsibilities:
• Oversight of adherence to regulatory requirements related to the areas in scope.
• Support the LATAM Anticorruption Compliance Program, which is a firm wide program covering all Lines of Business (LOBs) and Corporate Functions (Functions).
• Reporting, analysis and escalation of relevant compliance metrics.
• Support the control agenda and assist in process mapping and risk control identification.
• Build and maintain key relationships across the wider CCOR department and with key partners; establishing a culture of engagement across the region and with central/corporate groups.
• Support the Privacy Compliance Lead for Latin America and Canada on the oversight of the privacy requirements in the respective countries, monitoring of new law/regulation on Data Privacy
• Keep Privacy Legal Requirements and keep the Data Risk requirements Manager up-to-date
• Assessment of the impact of laws and regulations on (i) Legal Obligations under CCOR perspective, and on (ii) internal Policies and Procedures

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
• Solid communication skills - both verbal and written English and Portuguese. Spanish is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint)
• Bachelor's degree required on areas such as accounting, administration, law or similar.
• Previous experience in Compliance, Risk, Audit or Control areas in banking and financial markets is highly desirable.
• Control and process-driven mindset; attention to details and process skills; sense of urgency to work with multiple tasks and bring tasks to completion within established timeframes.
• Pro-active, enthusiastic, motivation to solve problems independently.
• Team oriented with good interpersonal skills.
