We're searching for an eager, dynamic, passionate and creative communicator to join J.P. Morgan's Global Banking communications team. This high-functioning group drives employee engagement across the business through thoughtful, holistic and data-driven communications strategies-and by being trusted, strategic advisors with effective delivery for our most senior leaders around the world.
As a Communications Senior Associate in Global Banking, you will be an all-around-athlete who is an expert on all aspects of communications channels and tools, reaching both internal and external audiences. Specifically, you will be responsible for supporting the broader communications team creating executive messages, drafting talking points, designing presentations, writing internal articles, and planning and managing internal events end-to-end to reach and inform our audiences. Additionally, you will research and develop media lists and create briefing documents for executives speaking to press. You will be a proactive and energetic storyteller and project manager who will help articulate the team's vision and oversee the development and execution of communications plans that deliver on our priorities. Partnership is at the heart of what we do and how we work. You will need to prioritize building and maintaining relationships with the business we support and across the teams we work closest with, like business management, social media and other communications groups.

Job Responsibilities:
- Help drive the internal communications and employee engagement and for J.P. Morgan's Global Banking and Global Investment Banking businesses, including town halls and employee events, executive messages, recognition opportunities, talking points and internal stories.
- Support media relations needs across the team, from creating reporter lists to developing briefing books and drafting pitch emails.
- Write, edit and maintain quality control of compelling internal stories and content.
- Develop strong relationships with communicators across the firm and among our broader communications team.
- Research communications and engagement opportunities and understand the small and big details.
- Stay up to date on communications trends and industry news, contributing insights and helping to identify opportunities to drive greater impact through strategic communications while increasing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and support senior level strategic presentations and project management, including decks, briefs, talking points.
- Work with financial partners and leadership team to track overall budgets including forecasting, planning, headcount, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Track and measure results to showcase business impact.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Relevant work experience and hold a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, communications, journalism, or other related area.
- Working knowledge of corporate internal and employee communications strategies, best practices, implementation and execution.
- Passion and creativity for storytelling, with the ability to breakdown complex subjects for different audiences.
- Outstanding writing and editing skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high volume, high priority initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Analytical, strategic approach to problem solving and finding solutions.
- Strong visual storytelling skills (i.e. digital design for presentations).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Solid understanding of the financial services industry, particularly investment banking.
- Comfortable navigating matrixed organizations.
- Knowledge of SharePoint and intranet technology.
- Comfortable with strategy and end-to-end execution.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Additional software skills (e.g., HTML, Adobe Creative Suite including video editing) a plus.
- Internally-motivated, intentional, empathetic and well-organized storyteller who's ready to try and learn new things as opportunities arise
