We are looking for structured thinkers displaying curiosity and hunger to help us build out our AUD and NZD rates trading business. You will be working in a dynamic and busy trading floor environment and be given autonomy to develop and grow your part of the business within the JPMorgan global framework.
As an Associate/ Vice President in the Rates Trading Team, you will help Australia & New Zealand Rates desk cover institutional accounts and make markets in AUD & NZD rates in securities and interest rate derivatives. You will be required to manage risk, liquidity and exposure and support all aspects of the trading process. Build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders in the location and offshore to grow the franchise.

Job Responsibilities
- Market making in AUD & NZD IR derivatives and Securities to the firm's customers
- Building new and maintaining existing customer relationships
- Structured risk management of client flows and orders
- Critical thinking - Improving the way we do business
- Understands firm's approach and policies for managing risks in relevant business and applicable legal and regulatory rules, and follows policies
- Play an active role in training and developing juniors; Take a leading role in people initiatives (recruiting, mentoring, training)
Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:
- 3 years of market-making experience within an investment bank
- Display leadership qualities and be capable and willing to invest in the growth of others
- Communication skills - be able to interact proactively and effectively both with clients and with internal stakeholders
- Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of fundamental and technical aspects of products traded and support area functions of respective products
- Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of how to calculate and reconcile P&L & Risk
- Ability to work in a global setup by managing partnership with offshore front office colleagues
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
