As an Associate in the Fixed Income Financing Sales team, you will be at the forefront of client engagement and trade execution. Your role is crucial in supporting our Asia-based sales team, dealing with a diverse range of clients including asset managers, banks, and hedge funds. You will be instrumental in providing market updates and intelligence, ensuring seamless trade execution, and fostering a collaborative team culture. Job Responsibilities:
- Execute daily client trades in repo and financing markets
- Collaborate with trading and research partners across Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong
- Provide market updates and intelligence to clients
- Work with product sales teams to offer specialist market expertise
- Manage the full trade lifecycle, from KYC to execution and booking
- Identify market drivers and demonstrate product knowledge
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Experience in a front-office markets role with a solid understanding of macroeconomics
- Strong knowledge of global fixed income markets, especially repo/reverse repo and funding tools
- Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative abilities
- Effective communication skills for client and partner interaction
- Experience in financing, solutions, or structured financing sales or trading
- Existing contacts within the Australian market are ideal
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Knowledge of global repo/funding markets, particularly in government bonds
- Proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and self-manage priorities
