As a Research Assistant in the Credit Research Team, you will support a team of Senior Analysts in their day-to-day responsibilities.
Job responsibilities:
- Update financial models
- Maintain industry databases related to the Asia Pacific credit market, various sectors and economic data
- Prepare presentations and reports
- Assist with production of periodic publications such as Cross Regional Credit Weekly, Asia Credit Analytics and China Bond Analytics
- Provide basic write-ups on company backgrounds and corporate structures
- Summarize covenants included in bond documentation
- Gather market intelligence through public news outlets

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant major, such as Finance, Accounting, Economics
- At least 1 year of experience in a related field
- Strong analytical, accounting, and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Ability to produce accurate and detailed materials while meeting tight deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a diverse team
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Experience in research, investment banking, consulting, or another analytical and demanding role
- CFA designation, or progress toward the designation
- Programming skills
- Proficiency in the Japanese language
