As a Risk Mitigation Specialist within the Auto Recovery, Business and Specialty Operations (ARBSO) group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and mitigating risks across our teams. You will support various projects and production reports, helping to maintain appropriate risk controls and support our departments effectively. Your work will involve updating procedures, analyzing data, and identifying gaps to ensure we meet all state, legal, and reputational requirements. You will communicate effectively across all levels of the firm, providing feedback, coaching, and development to associates and leadership. Job Responsibilities

  • Work with all levels of leadership
  • Communicate effectively with other lines of business
  • Operate independently with minimal oversight
  • Meet strict deadlines
  • Maintain strong organizational skills
  • Provide ad hoc training
  • Assist leadership as needed
  • Ensure department procedures are adhered to and submit modifications timely
  • Generate various daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Track and report weekly and monthly forecasts
  • Identify potential risks and react immediately with resolutions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of collection techniques for both open and charged-off accounts for Auto
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills
  • Previous experience in handling unique/specialized accounts
  • Experience with ICAF, ALS, VLS, and Recovery One systems
  • Past or previous auto and student loan experience
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risk and escalate appropriately
  • Ability to work independently on complex matters
