Real Estate & Collateral (REC) caters to several lines of business within JP Morgan Chase, including Business Banking, Asset Wealth Management, Middle Market and Commercial Banking. Within REC, the Collateral Center of Excellence provides lending services such as collateral perfection, post-booking documentation review, custody review and collateral releases.
As a Collateral Service Manager I within the Collateral COE of Real Estate & Collateral, you will provide leadership and managerial oversight for a team handling collateral release on closed loans or facilities. Your responsibilities include leading team performance and development, administering HR policies fairly, and promoting delivery through partnership in a matrix organization. You will monitor and manage work queues and production capacity, maintain service levels, and continually seek opportunities to improve efficiency. Ensuring staff consistently follow procedures, complete compliance-related training, and meet quality standards is a key part of your role. You will foster an environment where risk/control issues are escalated and trends anticipated. Developing relationships with market and business partners, managing their requests and issues professionally, and collaborating with other leaders across lines of business is also crucial. Lastly, you will participate in projects within and across the organization, promote innovation projects aligned with global goals, and promote continuous learning within the team.

Job responsibilities:

- Participate in Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) testing, exams, and audits.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Experience in loan servicing or a related financial services field, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- In depth understanding of legal and loan documentation, collateral perfection & documentation, compliance documents, uniform commercial code (UCC) filings and/or other related experiences.
- Strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal and external groups, build strong working relationship with technology, product and operations to succeed in delivery.
- Leadership and drive: well-honed ability to develop, to obtain agreement on, and to lead execution of a global agenda
- Project management and execution: must organize quickly and execute the agenda to meet short-term and longer-term deliverables
- Detail oriented with a strong emphasis on quality; proven track record of driving results
- Ability to report and communicate results in a clear, concise manner at the appropriate level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; cascades communications to team
- Strong PC skills in Windows-based and Microsoft suite applications
- Ability to look at synergies vertically as well as horizontally. Assertive in ensuring the team performs and meets required productivity and quality targets
- Ability to multi-task effectively and leverage available resources
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Accounting, Business or Finance
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with loan servicing software and systems, such ACBS, VLS, LOAN IQ and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Cultural Competence: Experience working in diverse environments and the ability to manage and communicate effectively with a diverse team and client base.
- Meets or exceeds performance expectations. Not under performance coaching/performance improvement plan
- Successful completion of all periodic High Value Business Entitlements (HBVE) background checks
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with federal and state regulations affecting loan servicing
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to leverage data insights to drive decision-making and improve servicing operations.
