As a Client Tax Associate within the Client Tax Operations utility, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of withholding, reporting, reclaim filing and relief at source function in over 100 markets globally. You will play a key role in executing business objectives, managing business risks for key client/partner relationships across the Corporate & Investment Bank, and leading a high-performing team. This role offers the opportunity to influence technology on system enhancements, develop and implement tools to improve quality and accuracy, and liaise with cross line of business partners to achieve business result promoten improvements.

Job responsibilities:
- Review Tax Reclaims filed on behalf of clients within the stipulated window and lead an Operations team in Mumbai supporting the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB).
- Partner with the global Tax Operations team to execute tax services for CIB clients.
- Act as the senior escalation point for local team members.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of end-to-end process flow, SOPs, and validation points.
- Stay informed about industry knowledge of International Tax reclaims processing.
- Influence technology on system enhancements and articulate change management initiatives to stakeholders.
- Make decisions about handling various critical business scenarios to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Liaise with cross-line business partners to achieve business result-driven improvements and system enhancements, emphasizing strategic end state and controls.
- Undertake day-to-day operations within the team, act as the point of contact for the aligned country or line of business, ensure tax compliance obligations are met, adhere to control procedures, and regularly communicate with internal stakeholders..
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.
- Graduate or Post-Graduate with at least 7 years' experience in operations.
- Familiarity with a Taxation and Tax Operations for various Markets.
- Experience of 6+ years as a Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree
- Must be able to maintain and operate in an environment of high standards of risk and control.
- Experience of client service and relationship management communicating complex issues with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills to review evolving market practices, assess oversight metrics, results identify trends and resolve complex issues.
- Analytical with ability to quickly assess situations and resolve complex issues.
- Skilled in MS office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project
- Relevant Tax market knowledge or industry experience
- Knowledge of financial markets and banking industry.
- Advanced knowledge of Alteryx, Tableau and UI path.
