As a Specialist in our Business Loan Center, you will partner with Division-aligned deal teams to ensure timely loan closings. You will work independently to manage client interactions, obtain necessary documentation, and adhere to credit compliance standards. Your role is vital in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our loan processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with Division-aligned deal teams to meet customers' target closing dates.
- Work independently with clients to obtain required loan documentation, satisfy post-approval action items, and schedule loan closings with title/escrow companies.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Business Banking loan products, including loan closing documents, SBA, real estate, and construction.
- Provide status updates to Business Relationship Managers and Area Managers on credits in the assigned portfolio.
- Handle email/phone interactions with a thorough knowledge of Policies and Procedures and all systems.
- Execute objectives adhering strictly to CCB controls and credit compliance standards.
- Demonstrate personal excellence, including punctuality, integrity, and accountability.
- Be professional, thorough, and organized; able to follow standard operating policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- High School diploma/GED required, with 3 years of client service and/or operations experience, preferably in the banking or financial service industry.
- Ability to work under pressure and act with urgency, with attentiveness to detail and effective time management skills.
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency with basic computer hardware functions, launching applications, and maneuvering in a Windows-based environment.
- Works effectively in a team environment while assuming individual responsibility. Self-starter, independent thinker, and self-reliant.
- Completion of training courses in credit policy and BLC workflows through a bank-sponsored training program or other related coursework.
- Ability to work flexible hours, as needed, to accommodate client requests.
- Be receptive to feedback and change adaptive.
- Have a passion for helping people by solving problems, presenting, and explaining solutions.
