CIB - Governance - Control Manager Analyst

The CIB Product Control Governance team is a Global team that sits within CIB Finance & Business Management and is responsible for implementation and governance of cross-Line of Business (LOB) regulatory & control projects. These initiatives include management of P&L and Risk Standards and Significant Transaction Standards, Booking Model Control, P&L Attribution Governance Framework and Policy, Volcker reporting and other Regulatory projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Involvement in the governance & reporting of Finance-related Standards & Policies. These include Firmwide User Tool Controls Standard, Firmwide Intelligent Solution Controls standard, P&L and Risk Standards, Significant Transaction Standards, External Reporting Standards, as well as other policies.
  • Assist in managing the CIB Finance Tooling Governance book of work, including ensuring that all pain-points raised from internal and external stakeholders are tracked, and status updates are communicated to end users.
  • Assist with certain aspects of the Firmwide Tooling Governance agenda and work with Senior Stakeholders to ensure compliance.
  • Take part in different control projects aimed to streamline/enhance processes.
  • Ensure the Program's activities align to the department's Technology agenda, Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA) and Action Plans.
  • Respond to related ad-hoc requests from senior management, audit and other functions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparing & presenting materials to executive audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to articulate and summarize findings to a broad audience.
  • Knowledge of financial products including derivatives.
  • Knowledge of P&L, Risk, Balance sheet and accounting concepts
  • Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team
  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment and proven ability to multitask effectively
  • Has an analytical mindset and a continuous drive to improve processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience related to MIS: reporting systems, databases, etc
  • Experience developing scripts using VBA programming language
  • Exposure to intelligent solutions tools such as Alteryx, Signavio and Power BI
  • Has experience working with Technology and building and managing their own solutions
