As an Associate in the CFO Business Management team, you will play a pivotal role supporting the CFO and contributing to the CFO agenda on key strategic priorities, regulatory deliverables and projects. You, alongside other experts, will drive and manage time-sensitive and high visibility projects, which are both recurring as well as ad-hoc in nature.

You will be a valued contributor towards the book of work of the CFO Business Management team which acts as a trusted adviser and counterweight to the CFO. The work involves cross-LOB, -location and -function collaboration as well as strategic executive reporting.

For the projects under your purview, you will be expected to take ownership, from initiation through to execution, and function as the co-ordination, communication and escalation point, mitigating any risks that may arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to the book of work of the CFO Business Management team, delivering on key priorities for the CFO and the Bank
  • Act as the point of contact for projects owned by the CFO BM team
  • Liaise with Firmwide stakeholders such as the Business Heads and their Business Managers, Control Management, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit, local and regional corporate functions (e.g. Finance, HR, IT, OTS), but also with the various businesses
  • Ensure timely completion of requested information / reporting, regulatory priorities and audit enquiries
  • Prepare executive materials for the Management Board and Supervisory Board meetings and their committees, as well as for the regulatory authorities
  • Establish and produce comprehensive management reports
  • Manage and minimize the risks that arise from non-compliance with legal rules and regulations and the Firm's policies and procedures
  • Act as the deputy Outsourcing and Resiliency Manager for Finance within JPMSE coordinating Outsourcing deliverables and priorities, ensuring governance standards are met
  • Contribute to the ICAAP, ILAAP and Recovery & Resolution related activities and submissions
  • Ensure adequate governance and robust controls are set up and followed

Required Qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in Finance or Consulting
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to partner effectively with people across different functions and various levels of seniority
  • Project management skills with ability to multi-task, to work well under pressure with commitment to deliver under tight deadlines, and to lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to aggregate data and identify root causes
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Proven experience delivering timely, high-quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high ownership mentality
  • Keen problem solver with a innate desire to learn
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Intuitive thinker focused on asking the right questions to innovate and improve the status quo
  • Project management / business management experience
  • A team player
  • Fluent in German
