Central Bank Cash - Strategy Lead - Vice President (all genders)

The key role of Central Bank Cash Management is to ensure that that Central Bank cash is sufficient and managed within designated Regulatory and Liquidity Limits. The team is part of the wider Cash Asset Management group that delivers operational and strategic support to our Treasury Chief Investment Office, including cash position projections, and post cash movement analysis on managed accounts. We focus on automation and enhancement of processes, as well as striving to improve account data quality, strengthening controls, driving down costs, and solutioning operational inefficiencies.

As a Strategy Lead within Central Bank Cash Management team, you will work with the Cash Asset Management - Central Bank Cash owner, to achieve all associated organisational and workforce aligned objectives. You will support our key values, ensuring the right cash, is in the right place, at the right time, with maximum transparency.

Job responsibilities

  • Review and analyse the current central bank cash set-up for the bank
  • Define what constitutes \"good\" in the context of central bank cash operations and create a global set of best practice
  • Develop a comprehensive book of work to outline necessary steps and processes for improvement
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues in the central bank cash set-up process
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful collaboration and project outcomes. (Payments Operations, Treasury, Product Owners)
  • Stay informed on industry trends and changes that may impact central bank cash operations
  • Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and global managers, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes
  • Involve in other key global, strategic initiatives, as discussed and agreed

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior experience of working within a Payments or Treasury role, with an excellent track record of Project Management capabilities
  • An Understanding of the global payments landscape, in particular liquidity & funding from a Central Bank Account
  • Excellent Presentation skills, including design and delivery
  • Strong prioritisation, planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and to act with own initiative
  • Takes responsibility and ownership for issues and follows through to resolution with timely and relevant communications
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter who is creative with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Exemplifies the highest standards of ethics and integrity
  • Promotes an inclusive work environment, respects individuals at every level and leverages an agile and flexible style
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident in both verbal and written communication at all levels, Influencing action and change
