As a Capital Reporting Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.

The regulatory finance department is a high profile function, providing financial information to the Prudential Regulation Authority (\"PRA\"), Financial Conduct Authority (\"FCA\"), European Central Bank (ECB), Bundesbank and the Bank of England.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the framework and standards for control metrics, including systematic refresh, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Collaborate and support other Finance areas with other reporting requirements. Lead and provide direction to various projects and Axiom/Capri defects
  • Review and investigate trends for small entities and obtain confirmation from business. Interpretation of the Regulatory rules which forms the basis of reporting
  • Use AXIOM / Capri and also CRD regulatory rules to develop familiarity of key reporting tools. Understand the reporting model infrastructure and implement streamlined process solutions towards a more efficient reporting model.
  • Provide initial commentary and assessments for New Business Initiatives and track all initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track internal and external audit requests, liaising with the production team to provide timely responses, and serve as the primary point of contact for all audit-related issues.
  • Stay informed on new regulatory requirements and policy changes to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Identify and track data quality issues in production, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop an efficient control framework for regulatory reporting, including maintaining an external submission matrix and log for resubmissions, issues, and errors. Develop and analyze metrics with monthly trends to drive control and efficiency.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are up-to-date and compliant with policy timelines.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field minimum 3 years of experience in regulatory reporting, control management, or a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Investment banking product knowledge including derivatives, equities, and debt securities.
  • Strong in Microsoft Office - Excel, Access, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in Auditing and Controls would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Capital Regulatory Reporting
