JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) Global Technology Strategy, Innovation & Partnerships focuses on helping drive IT strategy, fostering best-in-class partnerships with both strategic and emerging technology companies as well as leveraging IT for purposes of firmwide business development and strategic marketplace development.

We are seeking a multi-dimensional Senior Technology Strategy Executive whose primary responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities

  • Thought Leadership
    • Partner with Global Technology (GT) Leadership and apply knowledge of industry leading practices to help synthesize the firmwide view for key strategic initiatives (e.g modernization, data and machine learning) including governance of adoption and business outcomes, creating technology strategy deliverables for the firm's executive and technology leadership teams
    • "Own" day-to-day project management and delivery of strategies and other priority topics the team is working on
    • Work with team to develop work plans to test / evaluate strategies and insights which could span process improvement, organizational change, and functional strategy efforts
    • Work closely with key stakeholders (within the team and across the firm) to foster innovation across JPMC's technology and business strategy.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a cross functional team in the planning and execution of technology strategy initiatives and other key leadership deliverables
    • Influence senior business and technology stakeholders across JPMC ensuring execution on a coordinated strategy that scales technology capabilities firmwide and maximizes business outcomes
    • Develop junior team members both formally and informally, including serving as a mentor
    • Identify potential roadblocks / obstacles and escalate issues as needed

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of business and technology strategy experience
  • 5+ years consulting experience with a top-tier management consulting firm or an internal consulting/corporate strategy team, including 1-3 years managerial experience motivating and leading teams
  • Familiarity with technical concepts, operating models and a strong passion for technology and staying abreast of industry trends
  • Strong relationship and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with senior business and IT executives
  • Organizes and prioritizes critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision making; provides oversight and guidance to team projects of highest priority and importance
  • Able to distill widely variant feedback into root cause issues and provide actionable feedback to other senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent technical and business presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong passion for technology and staying abreast of industry trends
  • Track record of driving strategy, partnerships, innovation organizational and operating model change
