Launch your career within the Deal Control Review Team. We help support and enhance the control environment within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Payments Organization. The Deal Control Team reviews deals to ensure they are compliant with Deal booking requirements and reviews underperforming deals to identify root cause. The Deal Control team is part of Global Finance & Business Management Team. Global Finance & Business Management works to strategically manage capital, drive growth and efficiencies, maintain financial reporting and proactively manage risk. By providing information, analysis, and recommendations to improve results and drive decisions, teams ensure the company can navigate all types of market conditions while protecting our fortress balance sheet.

Role Description
This role will require an individual with business knowledge, exceptional relationship management, communication and influencing skills at all levels, and a strong focus on execution. They must also be highly motivated creative thinkers who can leverage their analytical capabilities to provide strategic guidance to business partners and solve a wide variety of evolving business issues and problems.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct deal control reviews against Global CIB Payments Deal Booking requirements, identifying and documenting any gaps.
- Review and ensure consistency in the sufficiency, adequacy, and completeness of all remediation actions across global requirements.
- Evaluate underperforming Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) payments deals, identifying root causes and conducting further ad-hoc analysis as necessary.
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests, promptly escalating any issues and assisting in enforcing the regression process.
- Communicate effectively with sales, business managers, and other stakeholders, driving next steps such as additional training or office hours.
- Participate in collaborative initiatives with team members and managers, looking for ways to continually simplify, improve, and add value to existing business processes and controls
- Manage the Revenue Realization tool and Revenue Realization dashboard project, business process, and enhancements
- Prepare reporting and presentations; leverage reporting that generates business insights and uncovers opportunities to drive business growth
- Develop new product and business acumen to break down analyses, derive insights and provide key suggestions to stakeholders
- Work closely with cross functional teams (e.g., Products, Tech, Sales, BMs)
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Has 5-7+ years in a Sales Business Management or Controls
- Is enthusiastic, well-organized, dependable, and a collaborative team player who can lead by example and mentor/coach juniors
- Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills and communicates effectively & confidently (both verbal and written)
- Excels in time management, is entrepreneurial and a self-starter, with demonstrated ability to deliver results within condensed timeframe
- Is disciplined in managing processes with an understanding of risk and control implications
- Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale in design decisions
- Effectively manage and prioritize work assignments to consistently deliver high-quality results within specified deadlines.
- Inquisitive and curious to learn more and be able to dive into the details where and when necessary.
- Attention to detail is a must with continuous focus on design excellence
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with different stakeholder groups
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables)
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with high degree of independence
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Some leadership or oversight experience
