Business Manager (BM) Sr. Associate - CFO Support LATAM

The primary function of the role is to provide support to the CFO to execute the Latin America and Canada (LAC) business agenda and drive strategic priorities

The role involves exposure to the CEO and regular interaction with senior management in the region (LAC). This position plays an important part in driving the regional strategic agenda and the execution of key initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Support the CFO to manage the business end-to end by driving key regional initiatives and projects
  • Prepare institutional presentations and analysis for the CEO
  • Partner with U.S. based corporate strategy team to drive franchise specific initiatives and growth areas
  • Execute strategic, competitive and financial analyses (including country and product wallet reviews) in support of business growth, resource optimization and expense management
  • Support stakeholders with planning, forecasting, quarterly performance presentations and client analyses
  • Coordinate, plan and deliver the agenda for J.P. Morgan leaders visiting the region, client events and management offsites
  • Provide insightful external analysis and regional updates regarding banking media news and trends
  • Participate in graduate recruiting and provide internal training sessions
  • Work with high degree of independence, be self-motivated and tenacious

Skills required

  • Advanced analytical and research skills, critical strategic thinking and problem solving abilities to propose and implement solutions
  • Confidence and ability to communicate clearly and present in front of senior audiences
  • Individual must be results driven, have attention to detail, have passion for driving best practices, and be skilled at diplomatically breaking down barriers and obstacles
  • English proficient, ability to run and drive presentations and meeting in English
  • Strong project management abilities, including the ability to juggle multiple deliverables simultaneously, with high quality output
  • Excellent influence skills, including ability to work effectively across a teams seated across the globe, execute projects, and build and manage cross-functional relationships
  • Ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate
  • Proactive, self-starter with ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Being adaptable, flexible and resilient
  • Proficient in MS Office, PitchPro expertise or strong wiliness to learn
  • 5+ years of relevant Financial Services experience ideally coupled with investment banking, consulting or business management experience
  • Familiarity with the global macro and micro economic environment
  • Desire to build product knowledge and awareness of business, liaise and build connectivity with Line of Business (LOB) and functional Business Managers, Planning and Controls teams
