The Emerging Middle Market Business Management team is responsible for the development, organization, and execution of strategic and tactical initiatives to grow and manage the business. Partnering closely with senior leaders and cross functional teams within Commercial Bank and across Global Bank, the team helps drive key initiatives, continuous process improvement throughout all aspects of the business. The Emerging Middle Markets segment focuses on clients with annual revenue of $20-$100mm.
As a Business Management Vice President within the Emerging Middle Market business management team, you will occupy a highly visible role. Your excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with strong verbal and written communication abilities, exceptional promote and energy, and a collaborative instinct, will be crucial. You will evolve into a trusted advisor, narrating the business's journey, and conducting data-driven analyses of key issues affecting the business to ascertain their impact and propose solutions.

Job responsibilities
- Lead ad-hoc analyses to better understand and solution key business challenges and opportunities
- Own materials and preparation for key business reviews with Commercial Bank Executive Committee members - tell the Emerging Middle Market story
- Lead ad-hoc growth strategy projects to help drive the Emerging Middle Market business
- Identify connections between Emerging Middle Market business opportunities / challenges and underlying data (e.g., sales metrics, banker activities, campaigns, initiatives) to lead business analytics projects
- Ingest a business problem
- Use quantitative and qualitative information to build a data set
- Synthesize the data
- Communicate concise findings and recommendation(s) to business co-heads
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 6+ years of relevant work experience
- Previous banking, management consulting, or equivalent experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, gather and manipulate data, obtain consensus and implement change
- Able to outline work process in a thoughtful and detailed manner. Intellectually curious with a genuine interest in knowledge gathering and problem solving.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to synthesize "the story" for executive-level audiences and adjust messages and style based on different audiences and agendas
- Able to produce accurate, error-free analyses. Understand business drivers and ensure that the team's analyses are sound. Capable of synthesizing large amounts of data in Excel and from internal systems to develop strategic conclusions to share with senior leadership.
- Strong professional presence with the ability to communicate directly with MMBSI leadership, executives, and bankers. Must be able to lead a small team and influence colleagues at all levels in the business.
- Able to collaborate with peer team members across business and staff areas to achieve goals without direct control over all resources.
- Expertise in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Mature, highly organized, self-motivated and a team player who seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements
