The EMEA Payments Business development team is responsible for providing industry payments solutions to Global multinationals Corporates with headquarters based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) as well as subsidiaries of J.P. Morgan's multinational client relationships

The EMEA Payments business development team is closely aligned with the Global Payments Sales team, Corporate Bank and various other Wholesale Banking Product verticals, in delivering innovative payments solutions to J.P. Morgan's clients. This includes marketing the firm's EMEA capabilities as well as growing cross-border revenue.

Job Summary

The role will require to support the firm's global Diversified Industries ( DI ) client segment with specific focus on the Automotive, transport & logistics, airlines and multi-segment industrials who have the need for mobility services and digital treasury and commerce solutions.

The role also entails developing new business from existing clients as well as prospect clients and to position our end-to-end JP Morgan payments solutions to Corporate Treasuries, Digital & E-commerce payments and business development teams at the Client side.

Job responsibilities

  • Understand the clients' treasury and E-commerce ecosystems in the respective sub-industries stated above
  • Support Payments Sales and other Business development managers with client coverage, assist with Request for Information (RFI) Request for Proposal (RFP) responses and coordinate with internal teams to complete any ad-hoc analysis (including cost/benefit analysis, pricing and profitability models, etc.)
  • Develop knowledge and an understanding of the J.P. Morgan Payments products, pricing philosophy, and billing process/procedures
  • Assist with call preparation/follow-up, customer research, and client pitch books
  • Support on the preparation of account plans, business strategy reviews, briefing memos and relationship reviews
  • Coordinate with Product partners to develop and deliver best-in-class solutions for J.P. Morgan's global DI clients
  • Assist to finalise the sale through documentation coordination/negotiation and smooth handoff to implementation team
  • Help the team grow by contributing to sales and revenue targets
  • Assist/take the lead in the write-up of presentations/memos for various committee meetings/deal approval forums
  • Support product implementations/conversions working with internal and external clients
  • Conduct pricing analysis and supporting the development of pricing strategy/recommendations

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills .
  • The role requires client interactions across different countries where in addition to English language, French, German, Italian and Spanish will be highly considered for this role
  • Able to demonstrate degree of diligence and personal ownership/accountability
  • Winning mindset and goal-oriented, with the ability to show innovation and critical thinking to solve problems
  • Ability to manage projects/meetings and coordinate follow-ups with senior stakeholders
  • Time management, organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to quickly build relationships with key stakeholders and mobilize internal networks/resources to deliver results effectively
  • Ability to navigate and collaborate across the organization to optimise product and service delivery whilst developing, maintaining and enhancing client relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight timeframes and on own initiative, prioritizing accordingly
  • Ability to use various PC and internet-based systems to manage portfolio, must be proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
