As an analyst in the Bank Controller, Accounting Policy and Reporting (BCAPR) team, you will be responsible for a variety of functions. This includes the legal entity controllership for several of the firm's major legal entities (the Lead Bank, Parent Company and Intermediary Holding Company), advisory to business and governance of regulated Firmwide. Interentity policies, establishing global accounting and disclosure policies, and the submission of the firm's consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements to the SEC on Forms 10-Q and 10-K.

You will get an unique opportunity to interact with multiple lines of business and internal stakeholders while analyzing the business drivers of JPMCB P&L and Balance Sheet activity. As part of The Bank P&A function you will be responsible for financial forecasting, reporting and capital monitoring for the Consolidated Lead Bank (JPMCB).

You would be expected to have a strong understanding of financial drivers in Banking and demonstrates proficiency in banking capital, financial analysis, synthesis, and collaboration.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analytical review of financial results in BAU forecast and stress exercises from bi-weekly forecast and Budget
  • Periodic review of stress economic projections (CCAR/DFAST; Recovery and Resolution (R&R))
  • Analysis regarding the amount and timing of the regular Bank dividend to the parent company
  • Reporting to senior management, the Board, and key U.S. regulatory agencies
  • Partnership with Capital Planning & Analysis, Capital Policy, and Capital Risk Management in review and challenge of Bank financial presentation and capital plans
  • Analyzing recurring legal entity financial forecasts and describing key business promoters and focus areas
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly & quarterly senior management and regulatory reports before distribution
  • Supporting the Bank's Recovery & Resolution Plans, including detailed review and challenge of pro forma financial analyses
  • Identifying operating efficiencies and automation solutions that benefit team productivity. Ensure that each bullet point starts with a verb or an adverb to clearly define the action or behavior required in the job responsibility.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field
  • 2+ years finance/accounting related experience
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, self-initiative and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build strong cross-business and cross-functional relationships
  • Experience managing multiple, concurrent work streams with a sense of urgency
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and intellectually curious

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience with planning/forecasting, financial analysis, experience with Capital/RWA is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of US Regulatory Capital rules is a plus
