Associate Banker-Community Development Finance Relationship Manager

As a Community development finance relationship Associate in Commercial Real Estate ("CRE"), you support the testing of regulatory requirements for our products. As an emerging member of the Market and Product Expansion team, you gain skills and experience to grow within your role while working across the organization and Senior Leadership to enable the product, market and sales enablement strategy.

Job responsibilities

  • Researches and analyzes market trends, competitor pricing strategies, and client behavior to identify opportunities for product improvements across CRE
  • Drives firmwide collaboration with multiple JPM CRE partners through in-market strategic coordination to increase client relevance and enhance our #1 market position
  • Assists in business-side development of relevant tools for higher sales effectiveness: CRM systems and dashboards, pipeline and performance reporting, sales pitch and implementation materials tailored to specific markets
  • Directs usage of CRE sales data across the JPM platform - existing internal CRE data, 3rd party data, JPM firmwide data - to a useable form for sharp client pitches and higher sales wins
  • Understands and follows the defined regulatory testing procedures to confirm our products meet regulatory requirements prior to release
  • Follows and assists with the development of the product's risk and compliance model
  • Identifies inefficiencies in regulatory testing processes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 2-3+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate with extensive knowledge of the real estate industry and corresponding debt markets (Bank, Life Cos, Agency, CMBS, Alternative Lenders)
  • Strong financial modeling capabilities, particularly in Microsoft Excel; ability to analyze CRE market data and communicate concise and valuable insights to Senior Management
  • Excellent visual and verbal presentation skills, with strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Emerging knowledge of risk management and controls, regional and local nuances, and governance requirements

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Ideal candidates have experience in real estate investment banking, commercial brokerage or real estate private equity.
  • Strong expertise working with individuals across Product, Technology, or Project Management functions
