As an Asset Servicing Associate within the Asset Servicing Corporate Actions Announcement Capture team, you will be responsible for announcing corporate action events for all Global markets. Your primary goal is to ensure all announcements are processed within 24 hours of receipt and are sent out to the underlying clients/subscribers. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with various internal teams to process transactions, resolve exceptions, and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner. You will also have the chance to partner with client service teams to help change client behavior where required to remove manual processes. This role requires a strong understanding of Risk Management and the ability to manage issues exceptions above materiality thresholds for resolution.
Job Responsibilities
- Process and validate Income & Mandatory Corporate actions efficiently.
- Own issues related to the Announcement Capture Utility and ensure timely escalation to both Operational and Risk leads.
- Supervise the delivery of fund services trades operations BAU for the assigned location.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to process transactions and resolve any exceptions in a timely manner.
- Respond to and resolve client inquiries promptly.
- Perform root cause analysis for respective clients to increase STP and reduce client inquiries.
- Partner with client service teams to help change client behavior where required to remove manual processes.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Risk Management and manage issues and exceptions above materiality thresholds for resolution.
- Partner with the technology strategy team to help identify internal and external facing technology improvement opportunities.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:
- Bachelor's degree required (B.Tech / MBA / CA's)
- Minimum 5+ years in Financial Services industry, preferably in custody & fund services, markets or prime brokerage space
- Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio and Outlook Express (or similar email program)
- Good knowledge of financial instruments and corporate actions
- Excellent prior custody & fund services, markets or prime brokerage operational experience along with managing staff
- Ability to work closely with business partners and interact with all staff levels
- Strong financial markets product knowledge and understanding of the transaction lifecycle in Corporate Actions and/or
- Subject matter expertise in Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Collateral, Derivative
