The US equity investment specialist role sits within the US Equity business within JPMorgan Asset Management. The US Equity team oversees approximately $780b in client assets for institutions and individual investors throughout the world. This is an investment specialist role supporting our $260B US Equity Growth franchise.

Job Summary

As an Investment Specialist within the US Equity business at JPMorgan Asset Management, you will be responsible for positioning and messaging products with the goal of promoting business. This includes both acquiring new business and providing superior client service. You will work closely with portfolio managers and other investors, as well as with product strategy, product development, and other internal groups to oversee existing products and launch new product initiatives. You will play a key role in supporting our $260B US Equity Growth franchise, which is part of a team that oversees approximately $780b in client assets for institutions and team member investors throughout the world.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support senior investment specialists, portfolio managers and clients.
  • Partner with portfolio managers, research analysts & distribution.
  • Analyze portfolio performance attribution and positioning.
  • Assist in the entire client lifecycle: from initial request-for-proposals, to preparing meeting materials, to generating reporting deliverables.
  • Serve as internal contact/point person for support and operations groups such as Client Reporting and RFP writing.
  • Maintain of standard presentation materials and commentaries, as well as client materials.
  • Support ad-hoc projects & competitive analysis.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience in investment management or related fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel
  • Understanding of U.S. equity products and services
  • Strong written communication, interpersonal skills
  • Strong team player & work ethic

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • CFA or path to completion
  • Python understanding preferred but not required
