As a Project Testing and Implementation Manager - Vice President within Asia Pacific Asset Management Operation, you will be responsible for ensuring business and system readiness of the strategic solutions and successful execution and implementation of a key global business strategy. The outsourcing of Transfer Agency operations which enable JPMorgan Asset Management to focus on delivering best in class investment management services to our investors, and enhance our position for future business growth by leveraging the scalability of the vendor's platform. You will be a competent leader on the test and implementation phases to migrate Transfer Agency functions to the strategic platform of our service provider effectively.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead testing and implementation workstream with external service provider teams
  • Design, prepare and execute various test phases including technical, operations, data migration/reconciliation and non-functional tests, etc.
  • Drive validation to ensure readiness of end-to-end Transfer Agency business processes with target strategic platform and operating models
  • Define detailed implementation plan and commend center to prepare and drive the actual system migrations from in-house legacy system to strategic vendor platforms
  • Liaise between all Asia Pacific and global functional teams involved - including Product Owners, Business Platform, Sales, Client Service, Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer, Chief Administration Office, Chief Data Office, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, Finance and other control functions
  • Work closely with technology and senior operational leaders to implement outsourcing solution to establish consistency and best practices and provide thought leadership
  • Establish and manage appropriate governance, leadership and resources around all aspects of running the initiatives. e.g. regulatory, risk, financial, people, technology
  • Ensure effective communication and escalation on overall program status, implementation plans, management issues, priorities and risks
  • Monitor and enhance the control processes surrounding operations functions to proactively manage risk
  • Develop, implement & monitor performance metrics to ensure the quality and efficiency in implementing the initiatives
  • Ensure that the initiatives maximize impact and effectiveness while meeting financial targets

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems or relevant disciplines
  • At least 7 years of relevant project management experience
  • Experience in implementing large strategic initiatives with significant technology and operational components, equipped with extensive exposure in driving testing / quality assurance on changes in system and operating model
  • Proactive, hands-on management approach and strong operational skills
  • Strong prioritization and execution skill in delivering project objectives and key results.
  • Proven ability to establish cohesive partnerships with the Business, Operations, Technology, and other stakeholders
  • Able to challenge and influence stakeholders to make effective decisions in a matrix organization and external service providers
  • Analytic problem solver, take accountability to lead, motivate and get the very best out of a high performing team
  • Written and verbal communications skills in English and Mandarin

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Operational/project implementation experience in Transfer Agency industry and product knowledge of Investment management product offerings e.g. Mutual Funds, etc.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects in a financial services environment
  • Agile, Project Management Professional, or equivalent Project Management Qualifications
  • Excellent understanding of the investment process and associated market practices with the ability to think strategically about how to create business led solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Financial and budgeting skills
