Job summary:

As an Large Language Model (LLM) Platform Strategist - Executive Director on the Asset Management Investment Platform AI Strategy team you will have the opportunity to work with key stakeholders across all Asset Management business areas to help integrate AI into their products. This role requires you to be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of product management and data science, who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and effectively prioritize a backlog with competing priorities to support the achievement of multi-year AI objectives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g. technologists/engineers, product owners, data scientists/quants, business stakeholders) to ensure the successful development and implementation of an Asset Management-wide LLM platform in alignment with the business' overarching AI strategy and objectives
  • Manage multiple stakeholders, ensuring their needs are addressed, expectations are managed, and inputs are incorporated into the development of the LLM platform and related capabilities
  • Create and maintain a platform roadmap to incorporate longer-term needs into the development process and provide transparency to stakeholders on delivery timelines
  • Engage with engineers to understand their technical requirements for the LLM platform and ensure these requirements are incorporated into the backlog
  • Maintain a governance structure to align the backlog with business priorities, ensuring that the LLM platform supports the overall strategic goals of the business
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding progress, ensuring they are kept informed of status and any issues or challenges that arise
  • Partner with fellow AI Strategists on the refinement of AM's AI strategy to meet business needs and an evolving AI landscape
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the development process and the LLM platform itself

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Proven track record in delivering a successful platform(s) in alignment with a broader strategy
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities with success managing multiple stakeholders
  • Experience working with data scientists/quants and engineers
  • Experience in systems design for data-centric applications (e.g., prioritized and defined requirements for a scalable data pipeline for real-time analytics)
  • Knowledge of data architectures and cloud technologies (e.g., set product vision for implementing a data lake on AWS for centralized data storage)
  • Familiarity with RAG patterns and data privacy regulations (e.g., incorporated RAG based solutions into product features, ensured product compliance with GDPR)
  • Proficiency in modern development practices (e.g., defined user stories and acceptance criteria for Agile development teams)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Strong ability to problem-solve and think strategically, including the ability to identify root causes of issues and recommend solutions is preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrated ability to identify new opportunities for clients/stakeholders and/or process improvements and run with them
  • Understanding of the modern AI landscape is preferred
  • Understanding of the Asset Management industry is preferred
  • Problem structuring and solving experience within a complex corporation is preferred
  • Prior experience in a technical role is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience, advocate for initiatives and secure stakeholder support is highly preferred
