Highbridge Capital Management is seeking an Analyst to join its Investment Software Development Team. In this role, you will code and build best-in-class front-office applications utilized across the firm. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, test-driven, agile environment, collaborating directly with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and the Research team, while also working with other groups within Highbridge and JPMorgan to identify optimal technology solutions.

Job Responsibilities

This Software Development Analyst will play a crucial role in in the development and support of investment applications. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Hands-on development and support of investment full-stack applications
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the firm's data needs
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced, test-driven, agile environment
  • Integrate third-party vendor products with existing tools

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technology-related field (e.g., Programming, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Experience: 1-2 years of software development experience
  • Strong Intellectual Capacity: Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts, with Java and C# as the preferred languages.
  • Motivated: Passionate about coding, testing, and adhering to design best practices and eager to learn about investment concepts
  • Outstanding Quantitative and Analytical Abilities: Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis and problem-solving
  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: A commitment to precision and adherence to disciplined processes is essential
  • Effective Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to engage effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Collaborative and Adaptable Team Player: Excels in a dynamic, global team environment and embraces collaboration
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Brings energy, intellectual curiosity, and a strong dedication to driving results

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Experience: Experience in financial services preferred
  • Acumen: Familiarity with React, Bloomberg, SQL, WPF, and ETL is a plus
