The Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities team (GFICC) at J.P. Morgan Asset Management is one of the world's deepest and best-resourced fixed income managers, with expertise across all major fixed income sectors, including niche markets. Every investment decision in our fixed income solutions is underpinned by the proprietary research of a globally integrated team of sector specialists. GFICC manages a broad range of strategies, through funds and/or separate accounts, including Core / Core Plus, Unconstrained, Short Duration, Long Duration, Stable Value, High Yield, Investment Grade Credit, Emerging Market Debt, Securitized and Tax-Aware strategies.
As an Investment Specialist in the Global Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (GFICC) team focused on the Core Plus strategy and based in New York, you will actively engage in developing and maintaining relationships between the investment desks, external clients and distribution teams. You will represent your investment team on business-related matters, including but not limited to servicing clients; articulating the team's market views, positioning and performance; pitching for new business; marketing investment strategies; product development; and sales/retention strategy. Job Responsibilities
- Partner with Client Advisors on new business opportunities by representing fixed income capabilities in meetings and supporting the production of pitch materials and RFPs.
- Present at in-person and virtual client meetings and internal forums to discuss the current state of the fixed income markets, with a particular focus on the Core Plus strategy.
- Address client inquires regarding current market events and portfolio positioning.
- Train the J.P. Morgan Asset Management sales force on fixed income and market topics.
- Partner with the Portfolio Management team on business strategy and coordination of client meetings.
- Partner with the Investment Specialist team to create and maintain fund, strategy and client presentations, marketing, performance commentary, and other client communications.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders on onboarding, guidelines, client reporting and product development initiatives.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of work experience in asset management
- Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, PowerPoint and advanced level of Excel
- Knowledge of global fixed income markets
- Superb written and verbal communication skills, as well as the proven ability to convey ideas effectively with passion and clarity
- Demonstrated track record in developing business across a range of investor segments
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while possessing strong attention to detail
- Adaptable, innovative, and results oriented, with excellent teamwork skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Python skillset would be additive
- Finance, Economics or related subjects degree preferred
