Job Summary:

As a Company Secretarial Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Asia Pacific Real Estate team, with activities such as legal entity management, record retention, business controls, and legal and regulatory compliance management. Additional responsibilities include supporting the management of investments through coordinating with counterparties, creating management reports, progressing sustainability initiatives as well as assisting with transaction support. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop fund management and execution support skills in real estate investment management in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for governance of the Funds, including legal entity set up and management, regulatory documentation, and transaction approvals record retention
  • Manage operational process for fund and investment holding companies, including coordination of the execution and filing of board resolutions, and arrangement of meetings
  • Facilitate the team in the transactions approval process and closing process, including coordination with external legal counsel, corporate secretaries, and transaction counterparties
  • Assist all the functional areas for Real estate Asia Pacific - acquisitions, post-investment monitoring, asset management, financial, tax, compliance (fund and corporate) and general operation
  • Assist with the translation of information
  • Equivalent time focus on domestic Japan and Asia Pacific regional investment and other matters
  • Organization and maintenance of the electronic and paper filing systems for Fund and Internal Compliance

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Fluency in both Japanese and English, written & oral
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Organized with the ability to plan ahead several steps ahead to coordinate large teams and deliver results on time
  • Problem solver, takes ownership of issues and has the determination to follow things through
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience with setting up and maintaining fund or corporate entities
  • Workplace automation tools such as Python, Alteryx and Tableau
