Applied Research - Business Operations Lead, Vice President

The Chief Technology Office (CTO) oversees enabling technology capabilities inclusive of engineering and architecture tools and practices, public cloud technology services, application program interfaces, as well as the firm's technology workforce strategy. Global Technology Applied Research (GTAR) is an essential component of CTO and focuses on future-proofing the firm by translating scientific research into tangible business value across technologies such as Quantum, Immersive Technology (Augmented/Virtual Reality), internet of Things, Cloud Computing and Networking, and more.

As an Applied Research - Business Operations Lead, Vice President within the Chief Technology Office, you will be responsible for defining and executing strategies to build a pipeline of use cases to apply novel solutions across the firm. You will influence executive stakeholders to adopt our products and prepare business cases for strategic investment. You will also keep up to date on technology trends to support JPMC's businesses and ensure adherence to firm-wide expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the internal consultant; crafting narratives, and developing business cases to obtain leadership support, resources, and investment.
  • Develop concise communication materials and provide leadership support in key events and initiatives such as Tech In, Operating Committee, Business Reviews and Board meetings. Drive the engagement strategy in partnership with internal communications and HR partners.
  • Influence cross-functional teams to define technology strategy, design actionable roadmaps to deliver business value.
  • Keep up to date on technology trends to support JPMC's businesses. Self-manage professional development and development of IT knowledge.
  • Support risk, control, compliance, legal, and reporting functions to ensure adherence to firm-wide expectations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strategic and innovative mindset, not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Excellent technical and business presentation, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self-starter with excellent time management skills, who can work with high degree of independence.
  • Expert communicator who can collaborate with and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills, fostering a culture of continual feedback.
  • Undergraduate degree required

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Graduate degree preferred
  • 6+ years of financial services experience, preferred

The Chief Technology Office oversees enabling components inclusive of the top quality engineering and architecture tools and practices, key program management and processes as well as the technology workforce strategy required to make us a leading technology company for our customers, clients and colleagues around the world.
