As an Alternatives Real Estate Americas Business Management Associate within JPMAM Alternatives, you will be responsible for supporting the Real Estate Americas (REA) business. Your role will be essential to the new product build, investment, and platform management of the organization. You will interface with various departments, manage business process projects, and act as the main point of contact for internal audits and compliance exams. This role offers the opportunity to work independently on multiple projects and develop your skills in real estate investment management.

Job Responsibilities:

Select functions require periodic after hours and weekend time commitments via remote connection and onsite at primary and business continuity work locations.

  • Support New Business Initiative Approvals (NBIA's) and associated processes for new or restructured product mandates by interfacing with business experts, JPMAM Legal, Compliance, Risk, Tax, Audit, Financial and Control Management
  • Support the project management lifecycle of business process projects and the operational build-out of new or restructured product initiatives
  • Support governance bodies for the REA business including the US Real Estate Oversight Committee and Valuations Committee
  • Act as main point of contact and liaison between the different control functions and the business for internal audits and compliance exams
  • Organize the collection of Dodd-Frank/Financial Reform and other metrics data as required by regulatory and internal working group inquiries, audits and exams
  • Support and enhance existing CORE assessments for REA
  • Support User Tools (UT) program for REA
  • Administer and maintain the Guideline Compliance System
  • Provide supervision and oversight of the India Business Management support
  • Manage and support the Business Continuity Plan
  • Manage REA floor plan manager and facilities/space coordinator

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Delivery oriented with exceptional coordination and organizational skills
  • Effective communicator who is able to garner respect and trust with colleagues and build relationships both internally and externally
  • Self motivating with ability to effectively manage ad-hoc projects
  • Effective problem solver with good analytical judgment
  • Experienced in working with senior managers and specialized business professionals
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Interest in real estate investment management
