Join the rapidly expanding Alternative Fund Services (AFS) division managing over $1.2 trillion in assets. In this role, you'll optimize technology, promote operational efficiencies, and support the integration of a new strategic platform for private assets. Your private equity fund administration expertise will be key in product guidance and team collaboration. This role offers the chance to enhance your skills across fund services, middle office, and data solutions, with strategic thinking on FinTech, Big Data, AI/ML. As part of the AFS Product Development team, you'll engage in vendor governance and technology migrations.

As an Associate in Alternative Fund Services - Product Development within the Corporate & Investment Bank, you will be responsible for process re-engineering, technology optimization, platform deployment, and promoting operational efficiencies in a controlled manner through effective use of our technology stack. You will support the implementation of a new strategic platform integrating public and private assets, with a primary focus on the private side. This role offers an opportunity to further develop expertise across fund services, middle office, and data solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and managing a best-in-class automated technology platform to administer closed-ended funds and private equity investors.
  • Execute global product development initiatives ranging from automation, standardization, and innovation.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and write detailed business requirement documents to drive project execution and delivery.
  • Build strong partnerships and run project working group meetings with operations, technology, and other product areas to understand business flows and track project delivery.
  • Produce and present scorecards to escalate challenges and brief project stakeholders on major decisions and status updates.
  • Liaise with third-party technology providers to ensure optimal use of technology.
  • Support Sales and Client Service for client pitches and client initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in the financial services industry with prior experience in alternative funds (hedge, hybrid, and private equity).
  • Energetic self-starter with the ability to navigate the firm proactively, collaborate, and effectively partner with different teams and individuals.
  • Proficiency in technology like - MSCI-Burgiss, Geneva, Investran,
  • Knowledge of the full life cycle of private equity assets, including data characteristics and cash flows (capital calls and distributions).
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, providing client-focused solutions or enhancing existing products and/or processes.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to delve into data and identify trends to derive insights and operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities, with an understanding of the appropriate level of detail for different stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 3 years of experience in project management, private equity, and/or securities services is good to have.
  • Self-starter with the ability to navigate the firm proactively, collaborate, and effectively partner with different teams and individuals.
  • Strong program management skills must be organized and able to develop a project plan and break it down into achievable deliverables.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote, and Project skills.
