The J.P. Morgan South African franchise invites unemployed graduates to apply for the 2026 Jumpstart Internship Program.
As a 2026 Jumpstart Intern in J.P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB), you will gain exposure to a world-class organisation in the South African franchise, where you will join one of our lines of business in Banking, Markets, Operations, Finance, or Technology, and have the opportunity to be mentored by our professionals and leaders both in the local and global business.
The program will be based in Johannesburg and will run from January 2026 to December 2026 (with possibility of extension up to December 2026, based on mutual agreement). Shortlisted candidates for the 2026 Jumpstart Internship Program will be required to successfully complete the 3-week Winter Internship Program during the 2025 winter university vacation period (30 June 2025 - 18 July 2025).

Job responsibilities
- Performs tasks and receives training depending as prescribed by the placement line of business
- Actively participates in projects and assignments from starting point up to completion, and provides support to tasks relating to the aligned line of business
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Eligibility to work in South Africa
- Final year (2025) Bachelor's degree student with sound academic record (all faculties welcome)
- Fluency in English
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication and listening skills
- Attention to detail, logical, and well organised
- Strong analytical and management skills, and ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Not more than 12 months of work experience
