Join the Singapore Apprenticeship Program as an Apprentice and embark on a one-year program designed to provide a realistic career experience working in the financial services and gain real work experience as part of our innovative and exciting teams across our lines of businesses. Learning & development opportunities will also be provided throughout the program duration - including an induction training as well as senior management networking opportunities.

Over the course of the program, you will be provided the necessary training and also learn a great deal from your colleagues and teammates. You will also get opportunities to meet senior colleagues and continue building your own professional network. You will develop essential knowledge and skills, and is an outstanding first step towards building a dynamic, long term career with us.

Job Summary

As an Apprentice in the Singapore Apprenticeship Program, you will be part of one of our innovative and exciting teams across our lines of businesses: Finance, Operations, Human Resource and Technology. By working in one of the above businesses, you will build your knowledge, network and gain insights into how our businesses work together to serve our internal and external stakeholders globally.

Job Responsibilities

Finance

  • Work on local regulatory reporting, month end close process and project-related work on new products/or system implementation.
  • Understand a wide range of different derivative products, the implications of control issues and their potential impact on the legal entity financial statements and regulatory filings.
  • Interact with various lines of businesses, including financial controllers, product controllers and technology team.

Operations

  • Drive our clients' business forward, while getting a behind-the-scenes look at how our own businesses run.
  • Support the processing, recording and settlement of financial transactions and work on implementing new ideas to improve and enhance our client services.
  • Work with a variety of professionals to drive growth, make sure operations are effective and manage risk while maintaining the highest standards.
  • Gain insight into how our businesses come together to serve our clients around the world and have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions while developing your professional expertise in a dynamic team environment.

Human Resource

  • Participate in designing, implementing, and managing people initiatives across the firm.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the bank's businesses on people strategy development, planning and project management.
  • Involved in providing HR data analysis, reporting, intelligence and insights that will help the team to drive the Singapore people agenda forward.

Technology

Cybersecurity & Technology Controls

  • Provide support for all Global Technology groups in regulatory inspections, internal and external audit activities as part of the APAC Regulatory & Audit Management team under the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls group.
  • Partner with one or more disciplines, lines of business, regions or locations to respond to evolving business requirements and emerging threats.
  • Leverage your expert knowledge of today's ever-changing cybersecurity and risk landscape to influence IT operations across the firm.

Identity & Access Management Group

  • Partner with one or more disciplines, lines of business, regions or locations to understand technical implementations of IAM related technologies.
  • Develop core expertise in the IT infrastructure, identity and access management and public cloud integration.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Expected graduation date of April 2025 through May 2025 from Diploma qualification or Diploma Graduates with no more than 2 years of work experience
  • A well-rounded academic background
  • All academic disciplines and majors are welcome
  • Relevant internship experience and demonstrated leadership in a school or community organization
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task, work in fast-paced environments and comfortable working in teams to deliver results
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and with strong attention to detail
  • Available to start work in August 2025

This role is intended to be for an initial term of approximately 12 months only, however, subject to business needs, the contract may be extended or converted to permanent employment.
