2025 Glasgow Graduate Software Apprenticeship - Emerging Talent Programme

Start your career in technology and earn your degree in BSc Software Development on this four year program. You will learn in a hands-on environment what it's like to be part of a team working with and developing new cutting edge technologies.

As a Software Development Apprentice in the Glasgow Technology Center of Excellence you will work alongside over 2,000 technologists learning how to analyze, develop and test code, while working towards an Honors Degree in Software Development.

You will acquire underpinning knowledge and understanding of software development via a blended online learning and on-campus delivery mode with core IT competencies being developed through an integrated work based learning curriculum. The on-campus delivery will allow you to hone your programming and software engineering skills with support from experienced academics and professionals.

Job responsibilities:

  • Working on enhancements and upgrades to existing software and developing new applications as part of an Agile team.
  • Reviewing code and testing applications.
  • Participating in team projects, making a contribution to our business while applying the knowledge that you're learning in the classroom.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • We require a minimum of BBBB (or equivalent), including Maths or Computer Science or Physics, at Scottish Higher level (or equivalent). If there are extenuating circumstances and you do not meet these academic requirements you will have the opportunity to highlight this within your application.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • A continuous learning mindset.
