Globally, we hold leadership positions across all major financial markets. This approach means you'll be part of a dynamic team, helping to solve a range of challenging and interesting business issues and will be challenged in your work.

As a Summer Analyst in the 2025 Commercial & Investment Bank - Markets Program - Research, you will start the program, which is expected to run for 7 weeks from June to August (subject to change), with five days of orientation and training. This program is an opportunity to take your career to the next level through hands-on experience, relevant skills training and valuable professional networking. As it is a pipeline for future graduate opportunities, based on individual performance and achievements, those who successfully complete the program may receive offers of full-time employment with the firm in 2026.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven analytical skills, experience with quantitative and data analysis
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and economic data and trends
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • We're a global company whose primary business language is English, at a minimum fluent in English and Japanese is required.
  • Expected graduation date of August 2025 through July 2026, studying outside of Japan in Bachelor program or higher
  • If you are pursuing a Master's Degree, it must be completed within 2 academic years of your Bachelor's Degree

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Coursework in finance or economics a plus
